ABOUT ME

After majoring in English at the University of Colorado, I taught English at the American University in Cairo and was a newspaper reporter.  Then for years I had a day job as an environmental licensing engineer (wherein I analyzed environmental laws without a law degree), while I spent my nights writing songs, singing them in cabarets, writing plays and acting.  Along the way, I wrote a memoir, Adventures of a One-Breasted Woman, and was published in a number of literary journals.

I hope my one-woman show, "Adventures in Liking My Looks: 'Normal' Must Be So Boring!" inspires women and men of all ages to realize that everyone's body is uniquely beautiful, that all our bodies are parts of the beautiful human palette.

I lived in New York City most of my adult life, but am now happily settled in western Massachusetts.  In my spare time, I am a gardener of entirely too many plants.
